The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world's largest celebration of creativity in communications and the most prestigious international annual advertising and communications awards. Similarities are determined through Twitter’s interest graph, a collection of data points that take into consideration who the user follows, how the user interacts with tweets and what the user retweets.

Twitter Chief Executive Dick Costolo, has announced that the social network site now has 100 million active users. About 40% of Twitter's active users are signing in just to observe although it is estimated about 50 million log in everyday, Reuters has reported. An active user is defined as an account holder who logs in at least once a month.

Financial Post has reported that both Skype and Twitter have appointed new CEOs who will take the companies to the next new level. Twitter’s new CEO, Dick Costolo is aiming at building a sustainable business model for Twitter to capitalize on the rapid growth by transitioning into a profitable company. Skype’s new CEO, Tony Bates, also plans billion dollar IPO and aggressive target of revenues. Both these appointments reinforce the philosophy of lining up the right type of management at each stage of the company.
