Gulf News reports that the demand for digital outdoor advertising is witnessing rapid growth as more leading suppliers embrace Digital Information Displays (DID) and consumer demand for electronic interactivity rises. The overall Digital Information Displays market is forecasted to expand during the next six years, from 2.23 million units in 2010 to 9.09 million units in 2016, according to market research firm DisplaySearch.
