Facebook is set to open an office in Dubai next week, a move aimed at capturing more advertisers from the GCC region. The office will focus on dealing with advertisers from the Gulf, while digital advertising solutions company Connect Ads will continue to handle advertising from Egypt and Iraq on behalf of Facebook. The office will be in Dubai Internet City, one of the Emirate's free zone business parks, with a staff of three people.

There is no doubt that digital marketing has emerged as the new channel for brands in the Middle East to increase their market share. The industry received a boost this week with TECOM Investments' Dubai Internet City confirming official support of Click 4.0 - the Digital Marketing Event for the Middle East.

His Excellency Ahmad bin Byat, Executive Chairman of TECOM Investments, today announced that TECOM Investments, a member of Dubai Holding, has restructured its expansive portfolio which includes the appointment of Abdullatif AlMulla as TECOM Investments Group CEO.
