The Position: We are recruiting a Passenger Entertainment Publications Specialist who will be accountable for several Emirates inflight publications (e.g. Inflight Entertainment guides etc.), on-screen digital publications (e.g. seatback interactive screens), and broadcast information services (e.g. the Airshow moving map, connecting gate information, inflight news products etc.). These publications form an important part of the Emirates inflight passenger product.
The job holder is required to support the Passenger Entertainment & Communications Manager with ad hoc product development projects for both print and digital publications.

Experience and Qualifications:
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
5 years experience of managing digital or print publication production in busy and deadline driven environments.
The Job holder will have a keen interest and knowledge in entertainment media, such as film, TV and music.
Customer oriented skills in dealing with internal and external suppliers, and occasionally passengers, are necessary.
Project management experience is required.
Computers are used extensively and a thorough knowledge of Excel and Word are essential as well as good knowledge of using a combination of Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and Adobe CS. Further training on certain specialist software may be required beyond current knowledge, as use of such application programmes is extensive and complex.
The post-holder must be able to articulate clearly and concisely in both the written and spoken form. Excellent English communication skills are of paramount importance and the job holder must be able to assimilate, interpret and communicate complex information quickly and effectively.

Business 24|7 reports that Emirates airline is currently looking to increase the sponsorships stake in its overall spend to exceed 50% of corporate communications budget. Speaking at the SportAccord Convention, Boutros Boutros, Divisional Senior Vice-President of Corporate Communications at Emirates, said that the airline's spend on sponsorships has gone up by 10 per cent over the previous year. Emirates airline's current online spend accounts for a third of its total media buying.

Gulfnews.com reports that Emirates airline, already sponsors of English Premiership club Arsenal, German Bundesliga giants Hamburg, Paris Saint-Germain in France and Greek side Olympiakos, is currently expanding their football sponsorship portfolio by adding the prestigious AC Milan to their list of clubs. Emirates airline will officially sign the contract in Milan and expects to announce negotiation results on Friday.

The Dubai Film Market, the only state of the art regional platform for trading and distribution of films organised as part of the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), will feature more than 300 movie titles from around the world in 2009.
