Job Description
Job Purpose:
To showcase and enhance the QF brand and build credibility among centers through excellence in events; provide leadership to ensure proactive and efficient execution of events and visitor relations & protocol.
Key Result Areas:
- Take ownership of the vents calendar, obtain approval of the Director for events calendar and communication of events calendar to all relevant stakeholders. Ensure that events are conceptualized, planned and executed to meet calendar timeline.
- Provide guidance to team for articulation of key objectives, key messages and expected outcomes for events, ensuring alignment to strategic QF communication objectives.
- Approve outsourcing of work, preparation of the event brief, final event project plan including allocation of cross functional responsibilities; ensure communication to relevant stakeholders.
- formulate a sales strategy for the planned event, including promotional and media coverage plan and ticketing partners, finalize event budget and develop measures for tracking effectiveness/impact of the staged event.
- Approve the final guest list for events, final choice of venue and invites, monitor the logistics involced in the event and ensure timely production and dispatch of collaterals e.g. invites, event schedule)
- Collaborate with other department managers to ensure adequate internal and external media coverage for events, confirm that all legal compliances related to risk mangement of events are adhered to, audience feedback is obtained for events wherever relevant and post event review meetings are conducted.
- Work with marketing department to finalize QF presentation for visitors based on Corporate presentation, approve policy related to the choice of presenters for conducting QF presentation, interact with key visitors and dignitaries to communicate desired image about QF and Education City as required. Collaborate with the team to ensure adequate internal and external media coverage for importnat visits, and obtain feedback pertaining to visits for analysis and corrective actions if any.
Skills
- BA/BS in Marketing, Management or related field, PMP certification, or other professional certification for event management
- 10-12 years of event or project management experience in a large scale organization with a diverse stakeholder base with at least 2 years as head of the function
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, fluency in Arabic is essential.
