The Jordan Times has reported that in a panel discussion on the power of the Internet on the final day of the third annual conference for Arab Investigative Journalists, organized by Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism, keynote speaker Tim Sebastian said advanced communications have shifted power from the hands of "those who have always had it" to those "who have never had it". For that reason, he explained, "professionalism is now more vital than any other time".

HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan inaugurated today The 7th Annual Media and Telecommunications Convergence Conference taking place in Amman at the Four Seasons Hotel. The massive two-day conference brings together top regional and global media and telecoms industry executives. 

The sixth Arab Advisors Conference on "Media & Telecom Convergence" kicked-off in Amman, with top notch speakers and over 500 attendees, running for two days (1st & 2nd June, 2009). HRH Princess Sumaya Bint Al Hassan inaugurated the event calling for "developing a trans-border framework which aims at moving from consumerism to productivity, and building trust and cooperation through the region."
