The Dubai Press Club has commenced work on its flagship ‘Arab Media Outlook’ report, which will monitor the development of the region’s media landscape from 2012 to 2016. The report is considered to be one of the most reliable sources of information regarding media trends in the Arab World.

The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) is set to commence today, and will be inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President. The festival will screen 171 films from 56 nations in up to 32 languages.The festival is presenting 13 films by Emirati directors. These films will be competing at the festival's Muhr Awards in the 'Muhr Emirati' category.

Panasonic Avionics Corporation has signed on with Etihad Airways to provide its in-flight entertainment system. The system, which includes broadband internet and live TV, will be made available on the airline's long-haul flights.

Etihad Airways has been recognised by Expedia for the 2010 “Airline Campaign of the Year,” according to the Khaleej Times. The award was presented to the airline that created the most impactful marketing campaign of the past year, encompassing engagement, creativity, relevancy and stellar results.
