Google is adding 600 movies from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer to its movie collection that it has available for rent on YouTube and Google Play, its digital content store for Android devices. MGM joins five other major studios offering movies for rent through Google including Paramount, Universal and Sony Pictures. 

Facebook has acquired the team of developers behind customer-loyalty application Tagtile. "We're happy to confirm that Tagtile's founders are joining Facebook, and that Facebook is acquiring substantially all of the company's assets," Facebook said. The deal's financial terms have not been disclosed. "It's a huge opportunity for us to take our goal -- helping businesses grow -- and do it on a much, much bigger scale than we could have on our own," said a Tagtile representative. "We're excited by what lies ahead for us at Facebook."
