LG Electronics (LG) concluded the 'Kompressor Follow Me' Video Contest with the announcement of its winners. The online global contest celebrated LG’s new Kompressor Follow Me, the world’s first vacuum cleaner that automatically follows the user while vacuuming. The contest served as an innovative and ground-breaking method of bringing LG closer to its customers, while simultaneously raising interest in and awareness of their new vacuum cleaner.

According to a study by comscore, a total of 234 million Americans use mobile devices. The study found Samsung to be the top handset manufacturer with 25.5% marketshare. LG comes in second with 20.6% marketshare, followed by Motorola with a 13.6% share. Meanwhile Apple accounted for a 10.8% share of mobile subscribers, while RIM was found to have a 6.6% share of the market.

For the first time ever worldwide sales of connected TVs will likely exceed that of games consoles for the first time by the end of 2011. Furthermore, says Informa Telecoms & Media Samsung, LG and Sony will triumph in battle for connected home selling 52 million connected TVs whereas between them Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony will sell 37 million games consoles of varying type, including the Xbox, PlayStation and Wii respectively.



ITP.net reports that digital media solutions firm Mobivision, a subsidiary of Arabi Holding Group, has launched its mobile publishing platform Mobimag in the UAE, an application that is once downloaded and accessed, provides the same experience of printed media, but with additional enhancements such as video, audio and animations for more interactivity.
