MENA Cristal has announced the first winners of the Media, Cyber & Mobile, Promo & Direct and Production Cristal winners during an Awards Ceremony on the second day of the festival. Leo Burnett Beirut was the most awarded agency last night, taking home the Grand Cristals for Media, Cyber & Mobile and Promo & Direct categories.

The MENA Cristal Festival will honor Pierre Choueiri as 'Media Man of the Year'. Choueiri heads Choueiri Group, one of the leading media representation groups in the Middle East. The group markets and manages advertising for thirty television stations, seventeen print titles, eleven radio stations, cinemas, web portals and the largest network of outdoor signs in the GCC region. "It is with great pleasure that we award the Cristal of Honor to Pierre Choueiri as 'Media Man of the Year'," said a statement released by the festival organizers.  

The MENA Cristal and Cristal Club members have decided to highlight Arabic identity in advertising, and therefore have introduced two new Cristals that will be judged by Cristal Club members from Beirut, KSA and Egypt during the MENA Cristal Festival. The two Cristals are The Best Visual Arab Art and The Best Creation of Arabic Copy. The 6th MENA Cristal Festival will be held from 31st January to 4th February 2011 in Mzaar, Lebanon and will feature eight Cristal competitions (Integrated Cristal, Film Cristal, Radio Cristal, Daily Press Cristal, Magazine Cristal, Outdoor Cristal, Corporate Cristal and Print Craft Cristal).

The 5th edition of the MENA Cristal Festival has concluded with the announcement of its Cristal Winners in the ten Cristal categories. Agency ranking positioned JWT Dubai in first place, followed by Leo Burnett Beirut, JWT Beirut, Leo Burnett Cairo and Leo Burnet Dubai respectively. Among the remaining top ten agencies were Expression, TBWA\RAAD Dubai, Impact BBDO Group and Horizon Draftcb.
