The MENA Cristal and Cristal Club members have decided to highlight Arabic identity in advertising, and therefore have introduced two new Cristals that will be judged by Cristal Club members from Beirut, KSA and Egypt during the MENA Cristal Festival. The two Cristals are The Best Visual Arab Art and The Best Creation of Arabic Copy. The 6th MENA Cristal Festival will be held from 31st January to 4th February 2011 in Mzaar, Lebanon and will feature eight Cristal competitions (Integrated Cristal, Film Cristal, Radio Cristal, Daily Press Cristal, Magazine Cristal, Outdoor Cristal, Corporate Cristal and Print Craft Cristal).

The Festival’s Grand Cristal winner has been announced at the awards festival and went out to the Arabic Films the Mother of All Foreign Film. Melody Entertainment’s Rocky, Titanic, Dances with Wolves, Braveheart and Seven by Cairo’s Leo Burnett. All entries were valid and respected the rules of the competition.

The 5th edition of the MENA Cristal Festival started on the 1st of February in Mzaar, Lebanon. The event includes a series of seminars, meetings and the announcement of winners of last year’s best creative work. Focusing on future developments in media, social networks, and digital innovations, the festival is chaired by Richard Pinder, COO of Publicis Worldwide.

The MENA Cristal Festival today announced the Media Business Man of the Year for 2009, awarded to Chief Executive Officer of Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC), Edward Borgerding, for the outstanding contributions to the media and communication industry.
