According to Muscat Daily, Merge 104.8, a new English radio station will officially begin broadcasting across Muscat and Batinah regions from Tuesday. The radio will air western, Arabic and Hindi music.The radio's target audience are English speaking Omanis and expatriates aged between 18 and 40 years. Merge 104.8 station manager Nadim Attieh said, "The programmes have been developed carefully, taking into account the varied and evolving tastes of our listeners and advertisers," he said.

On the eve of launching the freshest radio station to take to Oman's airwaves, Merge 104.8 has already gained recognition for its unique image at the recent Dubai Lynx Awards 2011. Merge 104.8 is set to be launched on June 7th 2011.
