The Role

Our client, a global name in the PR industry, is looking for a PR Executive to join their ever growing team in Media City.

This will be a great role for either a fresh graduate or someone in the early stages of their PR career, who wishes to gain lots of hands on experience and work within a world class team.

The role will support a range of people within the office and will see the successful candidate both working independently and collaborating on projects. This will include but is not limited to extensive media reviews, press release drafting and proof reading, assimilation and analysis of data, administration and research. The role requires someone not afraid of hard work and who is prepared to roll up their sleeves.

It is a dynamic, passionate, and boutique environment, so personality fit and personal drivers will play a huge part in the recruitment process, the client will be looking for candidates with the same values.

Requirements

A Degree in PR or related field

Demonstrable knowledge and interest in pursuing a PR career

Arabic fluency is an advantage

Hardworking, committed and passionate

Excellent attention to detail

Superb English language skills

Salary - AED 12,000

Job Description

The work of a public relations (PR) account executive is likely to vary from day to day, depending on the area of PR being specialized in and the portfolio each executive deals with.

Tasks include:

Liaising on a daily basis with clients and the media, often via telephone and email; Relationship building and networking with colleagues, clients and the media; Monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires and blogs, for opportunities for clients; Working as part of an account team to develop client proposals and implement the PR activity; Preparing regular client reports and attending client meetings; Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media; Promoting news stories and features to the media, known as ‘selling in’; Collating, analysing and evaluating media coverage; Event management, including press conferences and promotional events; Attending and promoting client events to the media; Assisting with the brief to graphic designers, production suppliers and other team members Coordinating studio or location photography; Undertaking research for new business proposals and presenting to potential new clients; Managing the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation. Dealing with suppliers and getting quotes Invoicing, billing and collections for clients

Skills

Strong communication skills, copy writing skills (Arabic advantageous), blogging, existing media relations, sales and account management skills, proactive, creative and strong work ethic.
