Zenithmedia, part of Publicis Groupe, today launches MENA operations for Performics, the first global performance marketing agency that inspires engagement, enhances brands’ digital investments and relentlessly amplifies ROI. Effective immediately, Zenithmedia’s current brand known as Zed Digital, is aligned under the Performics brand name.


Publicis Groupe announced today its acquisition of Flip Media, a leading digital agency in the Middle East. The agency will be folded into Leo Burnett Worldwide and will retain its name.Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Dubai (UAE), Flip Media has more than 100 employees across the Middle East and India, and has worked with some of the region's most well-known brands. The agency provides end-to-end digital solutions, including strategy, design and production, content and delivery, and technology across all platforms. In the years since its inception, Flip has been recognized across the region for its award-winning creative and pioneering technology. Its founders, Martin Diessner and Dinesh Lalvani, will continue to be involved as non-executive directors with Flip and Yousef Tuqan will remain CEO reporting into Leo Burnett’s Middle East North Africa CEO, Raja Trad.

According to a study by ZenithOptimedia, brands spent 12.6% more on Internet advertising this year. The study predicts continual growth in the coming years, by 16.4% in 2012, by 17.3% in 2013, and by 17.2% in 2014. Overall, brands will spend up to $50 billion on online ads in the U.S. by 2015. Meanwhile, online video ads will continue to experience the fastest growth, with an increase of more than 52% this year.

According to Zenith Optimedia, global ad spending will grow by 4.7% next year to reach a total of $486 billion, more than a full percentage point higher than the 3.5% growth the agency now says to expect for full-year 2011. WPP’s GroupM further confirmed Zenith Optimedia's predictions for growth in the coming year by reporting a potential 6.4% increase in global ad spending that will reach a total of $522 billion.


International corporate and financial communications consultancy Capital MSL (Capital) announced the expansion of its presence in the Middle East with the launch of the company's new office in Abu Dhabi. Capital's new office will complement and strengthen the company's successful Middle East operation.
