After 244 years, Encyclopaedia Britannica has decided to stop publishing its famous print edition.It will now focus on digital expansion, as the firm now generates almost 85% of its revenue from online sales. The firm recently launched a digital version of its encyclopaedias for tablets. "The sales of printed encyclopaedias have been negligible for several years," said Jorge Cauz president of Encyclopaedia Britannica. "A printed encyclopaedia is obsolete the minute that you print it, whereas our online edition is updated continuously."

Informa Exhibitions, is set to launch IPEX Digital Middle East, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 14 to 16 November 2011, to provide a platform for digital technology in commercial and large format printing sectors in the Middle East region.
