Grayling, the world's second largest independent communications consultancy, has opened their new Doha office firmly placing their stamp on this important market. Grayling moved from smaller premises, from where the company has performed substantial growth over the past 12 months.
JOB OBJECTIVE:
JCC’s online & multimedia department is expanding in line with the growing importance of alternative media (Internet, Video on Demand, TV over IP, Mobile TV). It also has the responsibility of several editorial offers, including JCC public websites, educational services, Mobile services, CD and DVD products. This growing and rich environment require talented Multimedia Supervisor role reporting to the online and multimedia manager, initiating ideas and following up the production process to ensure outputs are completed according to specifications and timeframe.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Initiation of digital projects: In line with JCC strategies, assist the online & multimedia manager to initiate appropriate ideas and digital projects concepts. In coordination with TV producers, propose new ideas to promote and maintain TV channels websites. Assist the online & multimedia manager in building the project team and sourcing external competencies (free-lancers, solution and service providers, etc.) Assist the online & multimedia manager during projects validation and acceptance. Propose ideas to boost the popularity of JCC digital products and increase JCC/Baraem community 2. Digital Projects management: Ensure a good planning, execution and monitoring of projects from initiation to completion Supervise production team in their daily work Ability in case of multiple projects to outsource some tasks that are critical to projects delivery Ensure maintenance and durability of existing websites features Combine the output of designers and developers into a final predefined product Working closely with the department coordinator to ensure workflows are operating and information is available regarding updates of existing productions 3. Special projects: Upon management request, undertake any special project regarding Multimedia productions Ensure special projects follow-up and delivery
Skills
Graduate education in Multi-Media production or IT Project Management or Business Administration or Journalism Relevant experience (5 years min) in Media environment such as TV, web agency, or digital media departments Relevant experience in project management and related tools Relevant experience as web designer or web developer (5 years min) Good understanding of digital projects needs and tools Proficiency in digital and multimedia softwares: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Audition, SoundBooth, Premiere ... Proficiency in Management and office softwares: Acrobat, MS Projects, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint … Strong interest in details and quality Strong Digital culture and understanding of digital trends Organized and self motivated with problem solving skills and ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects Fluent in both Arabic and English

Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development has launched new social media channels focused on its partnership with FC Barcelona to engage directly with followers and fans. The official channels in Facebook and Twitter aim to raise awareness about the two organizations and bring their fans the shared values and the joint programs that underpin their partnership.
This is a wide-ranging role involving coordination across a wide range of publishing functions. The key areas of responsibility include:
• Publicity: Coordinate all publicity activities on assigned titles from writing press releases and pitch letters, creating and executing publicity strategies, scheduling interviews and events
• Pitching national, regional and international media
• Compiling media news clips and press coverage of books for distribution
• Commissioning and preparing flyers and marketing materials, involvement in book design when appropriate
• Events: Supporting the Reading and Writing Development team and the Sales and Marketing team including with liaison with media, authors and event organizers
• Website: Key responsibility for the development and ongoing upkeep of the BQFP website and other related sites.
• Market research into potential areas of publishing.
• Liaison with relevant departments in Bloomsbury and other partners in Qatar, the Gulf and internationally.
Skills
1. University Graduate.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with a wide range of contacts across all levels.
3. Confidence, initiative and flexibility to deal sensibly with the unexpected.
4. computer skills.
5. Keen to understand blog communities, blog monitoring, social networking, viral marketing and online community relations.
6. Initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility, adaptability and energy to help Bloomsbury Qatar Foundation Publishing through its set-up phase and then to contribute positively to the development of a successful publishing business.
7. Book publishing experience and knowledge of HTML a plus.
