Job Purpose: 
 
To showcase and enhance the QF brand and build credibility among centers through excellence in events; provide leadership to ensure proactive and efficient execution of events and visitor relations & protocol. 
 
Key Result Areas: 
 
- Take ownership of the vents calendar, obtain approval of the Director for events calendar and communication of events calendar to all relevant stakeholders. Ensure that events are conceptualized, planned and executed to meet calendar timeline. 
- Provide guidance to team for articulation of key objectives, key messages and expected outcomes for events, ensuring alignment to strategic QF communication objectives. 
- Approve outsourcing of work, preparation of the event brief, final event project plan including allocation of cross functional responsibilities; ensure communication to relevant stakeholders. 
- formulate a sales strategy for the planned event, including promotional and media coverage plan and ticketing partners, finalize event budget and develop measures for tracking effectiveness/impact of the staged event. 
- Approve the final guest list for events, final choice of venue and invites, monitor the logistics involced in the event and ensure timely production and dispatch of collaterals e.g. invites, event schedule) 
- Collaborate with other department managers to ensure adequate internal and external media coverage for events, confirm that all legal compliances related to risk mangement of events are adhered to, audience feedback is obtained for events wherever relevant and post event review meetings are conducted. 
- Work with marketing department to finalize QF presentation for visitors based on Corporate presentation, approve policy related to the choice of presenters for conducting QF presentation, interact with key visitors and dignitaries to communicate desired image about QF and Education City as required. Collaborate with the team to ensure adequate internal and external media coverage for importnat visits, and obtain feedback pertaining to visits for analysis and corrective actions if any.
 
Skills
 
- BA/BS in Marketing, Management or related field, PMP certification, or other professional certification for event management 
- 10-12 years of event or project management experience in a large scale organization with a diverse stakeholder base with at least 2 years as head of the function 
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, fluency in Arabic is essential. 
- Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders. 
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. 
- Good planning and decision-making skills. 
- Project management skills with ability to manage complexities and constraints. 
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements.

JOB OBJECTIVE:

JCC’s online & multimedia department is expanding in line with the growing importance of alternative media (Internet, Video on Demand, TV over IP, Mobile TV). It also has the responsibility of several editorial offers, including JCC public websites, educational services, Mobile services, CD and DVD products. This growing and rich environment require talented Multimedia Supervisor role reporting to the online and multimedia manager, initiating ideas and following up the production process to ensure outputs are completed according to specifications and timeframe.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Initiation of digital projects:  In line with JCC strategies, assist the online & multimedia manager to initiate appropriate ideas and digital projects concepts.  In coordination with TV producers, propose new ideas to promote and maintain TV channels websites.  Assist the online & multimedia manager in building the project team and sourcing external competencies (free-lancers, solution and service providers, etc.)  Assist the online & multimedia manager during projects validation and acceptance.  Propose ideas to boost the popularity of JCC digital products and increase JCC/Baraem community 2. Digital Projects management:  Ensure a good planning, execution and monitoring of projects from initiation to completion  Supervise production team in their daily work  Ability in case of multiple projects to outsource some tasks that are critical to projects delivery  Ensure maintenance and durability of existing websites features  Combine the output of designers and developers into a final predefined product  Working closely with the department coordinator to ensure workflows are operating and information is available regarding updates of existing productions 3. Special projects:  Upon management request, undertake any special project regarding Multimedia productions  Ensure special projects follow-up and delivery

Skills

 Graduate education in Multi-Media production or IT Project Management or Business Administration or Journalism  Relevant experience (5 years min) in Media environment such as TV, web agency, or digital media departments  Relevant experience in project management and related tools  Relevant experience as web designer or web developer (5 years min)  Good understanding of digital projects needs and tools  Proficiency in digital and multimedia softwares: Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, Audition, SoundBooth, Premiere ...  Proficiency in Management and office softwares: Acrobat, MS Projects, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint …  Strong interest in details and quality  Strong Digital culture and understanding of digital trends  Organized and self motivated with problem solving skills and ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects  Fluent in both Arabic and English

Job Summary

Job Purpose: 
 
Responsible for coordinating all public and media relations for QSTP. Duties include: addressing larger and more sensitive public relations issues; serving as primary liaison to the media; distributing news releases, photos, and fact sheets; coordinating internal communications and special programs and projects for QSTP; and conducting media training for employees. 
 
Key Result Areas: 
 
1. Coordinate all public and media relations for an assigned department. 
2. Respond to media and public inquiries for assigned department, which may include: emergency scenes and providing relevant information to the news media; preparing and disseminating news releases on emergency incidents; generating positive press coverage of departmental activities; advising management on newsworthy matters and activities that generate a positive images; monitoring news coverage and maintaining files of news clippings; representing the department with other emergency services agencies; and, performing other related activities. 
3. Prepare internal and external communications, which may includes: preparing written correspondence for management staff; reviewing correspondence prepared by staff; preparing and disseminating updates; posting news releases on the website; and, performing other related activities. 
4. Coordinate a variety of special projects and events for QSTP, which may includes: facilitating planning meetings; coordinating the allocation of resources; arranging media coverage; and, performing other related activities. 
5. Represent QSTP in/on a variety of meetings, committees, task forces, and/or other related groups in order to receive and convey information. 
6. Develop, plan, and implement community education, outreach, and marketing activities, materials, and publicity for applicable public information and/or involvement programs. 
7. Participate in developing and monitoring public information budget. 
8. Create newsletters, brochures, flyers, banners, displays, posters, and other marketing materials and coordinates and oversees the printing and incorporation of items on the QSTP website. 
9. Develop, prepare, implement and distribute educational and promotional materials, videos, and other collateral materials to publicise services, programs and events for assigned area of responsibility; coordinates the dissemination of materials.

Skills
 
University degree to Bachelor level or higher in marketing or PR 
3 years experience in media, public and/or community relations 
Knowledge of graphic design, writing styles; press and media management, and market development principles

It has been previously reported that the board of European champions FC Barcelona were in talks to vote on scrapping the club's $225m sponsorship deal with Qatar Foundation following a five-and-a-half year shirt sponsorship deal in December, which relegated its UNICEF logo to the back of the shirt. The voting resulted in continuing the deal where 697 members voted in favor of keeping it, while only 76 voted for scrapping it and 36 abstained.
