This is a campaign by Memac Ogilvy & Mather Dubai for Reporters Without Borders, an organization that advocates the freedom of the press and freedom of information. With the slogan 'Censorship tells the wrong story', it features several images of world leaders with certain sections of the images blurred out. This blurring effect demonstrates how censorship 'can tell the wrong story'. The blurred out section insinuates a truly provocative act rather than the harmless gesture that it actually is. See more images here and here.

This distinctive campaign by Memac Oglivy and Mather for AdofDaMonth.com is a perfect example of unique advertising. The pencil sketched imagery of people about to meet their doom with the simple tag line "only the best will survive" creates powerful imagery for the the website's target audience, who are dedicated to advertising no matter what. The other impending moments of doom are Guilltone and Shot.

This advertising campaign humorously mirrors the test of creativity an ad goes through, striving to become the AdofDaMonth. The question here is, can your ad survive being held at gun point? Send in your entries to AdofDaMonth to find out. See Hanging and Guillotine for the rest of this campaign.
