The 20th Public Relations World Congress begins today in Dubai. The congress, which is being held for the first time in the Middle East, is being held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The event will feature a line-up of over 35 speakers from around the world, who will share their views on challenges and opportunities in the public relations sector. 

Emirates Business has reported that Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) is planning to close the print edition of its Emirates Business 24|7 English newspaper in mid-July, according to a statement issued by his Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

RapidTVNews reports that Dubai says its 5 TV channels will go HDTV. “The move is in line with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,” said the official communiqué.
