A new survey from Yahoo! Maktoob Research on user behavior in the Middle East and North Africa reveals 41% of respondents think ‘on-the-go’ connectivity frequently helps to solve or avoid disagreements with friends and family. Over 40% of those surveyed use a personal device to avoid an awkward social situation. Findings also show that across all technology platforms, females are significantly less likely to hide behind technology to avoid conflict.

A new study from Harris Interactive has shown that women now top men in their use of social media, making up 68 per cent of women surveyed compared to 54 per cent of men surveyed in the United States.
