The 5th edition of the MENA Cristal Festival has concluded with the announcement of its Cristal Winners in the ten Cristal categories. Agency ranking positioned JWT Dubai in first place, followed by Leo Burnett Beirut, JWT Beirut, Leo Burnett Cairo and Leo Burnet Dubai respectively. Among the remaining top ten agencies were Expression, TBWA\RAAD Dubai, Impact BBDO Group and Horizon Draftcb.

The growing importance of the Lebanese advertising market was highlighted recently with the second visit to TBWA\RIZK of Mr. Jean-Marie Dru, Chairman of global advertising network TBWA\ Worldwide.Mr. Dru is renowned for being the father of the unique TBWA\ 'Disruption' philosophy which ensures breakthrough advertising creative by identifying advertising conventions and then breaking them.
During his recent visit, Mr. Dru was introduced to the various departments of TBWA\RIZK and conducted a review of the creative work done by the agency. He was particularly impressed by the agency's expansion in the emerging markets of the region.
Mr. Dru took time to define his 'Disruption' philosophy and stated it is both a mind-set and a methodology that TBWA uses every day in developing ideas that help its clients find a completely original way of presenting a brand to the world.
During his visit Mr. Dru was accompanied by Ramzi Raad, Chairman and CEO of the TBWA\RAAD Middle East and North Africa Network and Reda Raad, Group Managing Director.

The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival is now in its 56th year, and mediaME is attending this event, alongside several Middle Eastern advertising agencies who have entered their work into the competition to win a Cannes Lions.
