Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the 8th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) on Wednesday night. Sheikh Mohammed was given a warm reception as he walked the red carpet surrounded by top international figures from the film industry, including movie star Tom Cruise. The actor's latest film “Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol" made its world premiere at the event.The film was sreened at Dubai's Arena Hall. The film is the first of many to be screened at the festival.

The Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) is set to commence today, and will be inaugurated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President. The festival will screen 171 films from 56 nations in up to 32 languages.The festival is presenting 13 films by Emirati directors. These films will be competing at the festival's Muhr Awards in the 'Muhr Emirati' category.

'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' is set to premiere in Dubai at the city's international film festival. MI4 will be the first film screened at the event. The film's cast includes Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton. The movie is sure to be a hit in the Emirates, as one of the movie's action sequences was filmed at Dubai's Burj Khalifa tower.
