According to the company’s new CEO, Twofour54 plans to be profitable by 2016. “We can’t ignore the fact that we want media to be a commercially sustainable business,” said Noura Al Kaabi, the incoming CEO who will replace Tony Orsten next month. “We will reach a point where we will be able to fund ourselves. If we continue doing what we are doing, with the same plans, 2016 is a year when we can start giving back.”

The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) has joined forces with Abu Dhabi media conglomerate twofour54 to provide HCT students with opportunities to develop skills and careers in the local media industry, with the recent signing of an Agreement.


Arabian Business reports that twofour54 ibtikar, the capital provider for Arab entrepreneurs and Arabic-language media content producers, is to close up to ten new deals this year, according to Tony Orsten, CEO of twofour54. The deals will include all areas; gaming, internet and production. One of the deals will involve a tie-up with a multinational gaming firm, to distribute Arabic-language games across the region.

Twofour54 Tadreeb, the region's premier media skills training academy, has diversified its portfolio further through an alliance with L'institut National de L'audiovisuel (INA), the world leader in archiving, digitisation, and specialist professional training.
