Al Jazeera to hold exclusive broadcasting rights of European football matches till 2015

7 Days reports that European football’s governing body UEFA has announced that Al Jazeera will continue to screen European club football competitions including the Champions League in the Middle East and North Africa until 2015. UEFA’s announcement made no mention of the price the regional broadcaster had to pay for rights to one of the game’s most lucrative tournaments. It said that matches would be screened across all of Al Jazeera’s channels and its website.
