The Middle Eastern business portal Zawya is expected to be sold in a multimillion-dollar deal that will be finalized next month. Several media companies are said to be interested in purchasing the site. Both Thomson Reuters and Emap & Pearson have expressed an interest in acquiring the website. If negotiations are successful, Zawya is expected to be sold within six weeks.

The United Arab Emirates' Ministry of Public Works and Rufoof Online, a provider of e-content applications, have signed an agreement regarding the ministry's electronic content distribution. Under the terms of the agreement, Rufoof has been given the rights to promote and distribute the ministry's e-content. The agreement was signed at the ministry's headquarters by Abdullah Belhef Al Nuaimi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works, and Shady Bassem Afif, a Rufoof representative. The agreement is said to reflect the ministry's desire to maintain technological advancement.
